From the free quote to the final rinse, pool deck cleaning for concrete in Covington, GA follows a simple process: inspect, protect, clean, rinse and check. On concrete, the method we use is pressure wash with a surface cleaner.
The right method for the job
Cleaning solution: A degreaser for oil spots and a pre-treatment for organic growth; post-treatment slows regrowth.
Caring for concrete
Plain broom-finish concrete is the surface pressure washing is made for. A rotary surface cleaner gives an even finish without the stripes a wand leaves, and hot water helps with grease and oil.
Avoid: Holding a narrow tip close to the surface, which etches lines into the cream layer of the concrete.
How often: Every year, or every 6 months in shaded, damp spots.

What can go wrong with DIY pressure washing
- Peeling or etching a coated 'cool deck' surface with high pressure
- Chemicals and wash water getting into the pool
- Pitting travertine with acid cleaners
- Slips on wet, treated surfaces
How we handle pool deck cleaning for concrete
- Check the deck material and coating
- Protect the pool and nearby plants
- Pre-treat algae and stains with pool-safe methods
- Clean with pressure suited to the surface
- Rinse thoroughly away from the water
Many pool decks have a textured acrylic or 'cool deck' coating. These need lower pressure than bare concrete, and a deck that is peeling may need recoating rather than more cleaning.

Pool Deck Cleaning for Concrete in Covington, GA
Shaded driveways, walkways and pool decks in Georgia grow black mildew and algae quickly and can become slippery. Pre-treating the growth before washing, and post-treating after, keeps them clean longer than pressure alone.
Spring pollen season in Georgia coats houses, cars, screens and patios in a yellow-green film, and pollen gives mildew something to feed on. Many homeowners book their wash after pollen season ends so the house stays clean longer.
Red clay soil is common in parts of Georgia. Rain splashes it onto the bottom of the siding, walls and walkways, and its iron-rich color can stain light surfaces. It usually needs a dedicated clay or rust cleaner rather than pressure alone.

Pool Deck Cleaning for Concrete: frequently asked questions
How much does pool deck cleaning for concrete cost in Covington, GA?
Pool Deck Cleaning for Concrete typically costs $200-$500 for a typical residential pool deck, and usually takes 1-3 hours. The exact price depends on the size and condition, and you get it before any work starts. Call (555) 010-0000 for a free quote.
Do you use high pressure for pool deck cleaning for concrete?
For concrete: usually 2,500-3,500 PSI with a rotary surface cleaner for even results. What we avoid: holding a narrow tip close to the surface, which etches lines into the cream layer of the concrete. We keep the pressure even and controlled, with the right tools for the surface.
Is pool deck cleaning for concrete safe for my plants and pets?
We pre-wet plants and lawns, keep cleaning solutions diluted to what the surface needs, and rinse landscaping again when we finish. Keep pets and children inside until surfaces are rinsed and dry.
How often should I schedule pool deck cleaning for concrete?
Every year, or every 6 months in shaded, damp spots. Shade, nearby trees, humidity and heavy traffic mean more frequent cleaning; sunny, dry spots can go longer. Our free cleaning frequency tool gives a recommendation for your climate.
What if it rains on the day?
Light rain doesn't stop most washing, but heavy rain, high wind, lightning and freezing temperatures do. If the weather isn't right, we reschedule at no charge. Our work is backed by a satisfaction guarantee.
